Welcome to Carolina Health Services, where we offer a variety of courses to meet your learning needs. Our BLS course is designed for individuals working in healthcare settings, You have the option to take it in classroom setting or Hybrid; online with a skills session in person. The Heartsaver CPR & First Aid courses cater to those in non-medical environments. How much are the courses?

BLS, Heart Code and Heartsaver courses are $80 a person. Book and certification are included in the price. The Family and Friends course is $25 for adults (18+) and $15 for kids.
How do I schedule a class?

Fill out a "Request to Book" or call 919-210-0437. You can either join a regularly scheduled class or if you have your own group of at least 4 people, you can book a private class. For Employers who want to set up onsite training, please call 919-210-0437.
How do I pay for my course?

Once you have set the date and time for your class, you will be sent a link for payment. The course must be purchased before you will be confirmed for the class or before you will be sent a link for the online course. A reminder email will be sent 24 hours prior for in person classes. For Businesses, an invoice will be sent for payment.
What if i need to cancel?

Payments are nonrefundable but can be rescheduled. In the event that the host needs to reschedule, payment will be refunded in full.
What should I expect the day of class?

Be prepared to participate and interact with your fellow classmates. Class size will be small, no more than 8 individuals.The class will consist of videos, discussions, question and answer, and various skills practice sessions. The BLS course is the only course that has a written test. All courses have skills testing.
How should I dress?

You should wear comfortable clothes. You may need to be on your knees to do proper compressions. Please wear appropriate tops, as you will be leaning over and bending down.
How long are the classes?

Depends on the size of the class. Typically BLS courses are around 3 hours. Heartsaver CPR & First Aid Courses are around 4 to 5 hours. Friends and Family are around 2 hours.
How does the Heart Code Blended learning work?

This option is for those who prefer learning online and independently. When you book, you will receive a confirmation and within 24 hours you will receive a link to take the course online. The book for the course will be included. Once you finish and pass the course, you will get a certificate. Email or text a copy of the certificate and once your certificate has been verified. You can schedule a skills session at any of the classes that are offered in person. You will only attend for the skills session of that class. Within 24 hours you will receive your card.
